Basic Structure
Gear Reducer
It is composed of multiple gears, and the reduction and torque increase are achieved through the meshing of gears of different sizes. Common ones include cylindrical gear reducers, bevel gear reducers, planetary gear reducers, etc.
Worm Reducer
It is mainly composed of a worm and a worm wheel. The worm is generally the active part, connected to the motor output shaft, and the worm wheel is the driven part. The spiral motion of the worm drives the worm wheel to rotate to achieve reduction.
Cycloid Pinwheel Reducer
It is composed of input shaft, cycloid wheel, pinion housing, output shaft and other components. When it is working, the input shaft drives the eccentric sleeve to rotate, and the cycloid wheel on the eccentric sleeve performs planetary motion in the pinion housing, and the reduction is achieved through the meshing of the cycloid wheel and the pinion teeth in the pinion housing.
Gearbox Working Principle
The reducer generally receives high-speed rotational motion from a power source such as a motor through an input shaft, and then uses internal transmission mechanisms such as gears, worm gears or cycloidal pinwheels to convert high-speed rotational motion into low-speed rotational motion, and increases torque while reducing speed, and finally transmits power to the load through the output shaft.
