What is a Single-phase Motor?
Single-phase motor is an electric motor powered by a single-phase AC power supply.
Capacitor start single-phase motor: A large-capacity starting capacitor is connected in series in the starting winding, so that the current in the starting winding leads the current in the main winding by a certain phase angle in time, thereby generating a large starting torque, which is suitable for occasions requiring a large starting torque, such as refrigerators, air conditioners and other compressors.
Capacitor operation single-phase motor: A small-capacity running capacitor is connected in series in the starting winding, and the starting winding and the main winding are always connected to the power supply during the operation of the motor. This type of motor has better operating performance, higher power factor and higher efficiency. It is suitable for occasions that do not require high starting torque but have high operating performance requirements, such as fans, washing machines, etc.
