Working Principle of Bevel Gear Reducer
Bevel gears are used to transmit motion and power between intersecting shafts, with the gear teeth distributed on the surface of a cone. During bevel gear transmission, the axes of the two gears intersect at a point, usually at a 90-degree angle, although other angles can also be used.
Similar to helical gears, bevel gears engage gradually during operation, with the teeth gradually coming into and out of contact. Specifically, helical bevel gears and spiral bevel gears provide smoother transmission and higher load capacity.
By adjusting the gear ratio of the bevel gears, a specific transmission ratio can be achieved, transferring power at a certain speed and torque to the next stage of the transmission or to an external load.
Reduction Principle
The helical bevel gear reduction motor typically connects the motor's output shaft to the input shaft of the helical or bevel gear. The high-speed rotational power from the motor is transferred to the helical or bevel gear.
Through a combination of multi-stage helical or bevel gears, the rotational speed is gradually reduced by the engagement of gears with different numbers of teeth. According to the law of conservation of energy, as the speed decreases, the torque increases correspondingly, achieving the function of speed reduction and torque multiplication. The reduced and torque-enhanced power is then transmitted from the output shaft to the external load to meet the power requirements of different mechanical devices.
