There are various types of irrigation systems, among which the drip irrigation system is unique. The key lies in the efficient and precise allocation of water resources by low pressure and small flow, and the precise delivery of water to the plant root area in the form of slow and stable water drops, thereby achieving the dual goals of water saving and precise irrigation.
For large central hub irrigation systems, the long irrigation arms must maintain a stable speed and reliable power transmission when rotating, which undoubtedly puts strict requirements on the stability and continuous power output of the gearbox.

When it comes to load capacity and torque requirements, the load of the irrigation system mainly comes from the starting resistance of the water pump, the friction resistance of the water flow in the pipe, and the power required for the rotation of the sprinkler. Therefore, when selecting a gearbox, it is necessary to ensure that it has sufficient load-bearing capacity and suitable torque output characteristics to properly cope with such complex load conditions.

In terms of gear ratio, in actual irrigation operations, the required water flow and sprinkler speed are different due to different working conditions. For example, when the soil is in a relatively dry state, it is necessary to increase the amount of water and speed up the sprinkler speed to quickly wet the soil surface. Therefore, the gearbox ratio setting should be flexible to meet the actual needs of different irrigation stages, and then optimize the speed of the water pump and nozzle according to the specific situation.
