How to Select Cycloidal Speed Reducer
Five-step Selection Procedure
Calculate actual operating torque, multiply by service factor according to load fluctuation: steady load 1.2~1.5, moderate shock 1.5~1.8, heavy impact 1.8~2.0.
Confirm reduction ratio: single-stage ratio ranges 9–87; pick double-stage for ratio above 87 to meet low output speed.
Match reducer frame size to guarantee rated output torque is higher than required torque with adequate safety allowance.
Determine installation form: BW horizontal base-mounted, BL vertical flange-mounted; verify output shaft diameter and connecting flange dimension.
Match protection grade, ambient temperature and working cycle; upgrade sealing for dusty, humid or corrosive surroundings.
