Description of brake motor:
YEJ Series Electromagnetic Three Phase Asynchronous Brake Motor is a totally enclosed fan cooling squirrel cage with an additional direct current electromagnet brake three-phase asynchronous motor. It is a derived series of Y series motor, which is designed to attach a DC electromagnet brake between the end cover and fan.
The motor with simple structure, easy maintenance, quick braking, small vibration, low noise, long life. They are widely used for lifting cranes, electrodynamic valve, metal-cutting tool, woods machinery, rubber-chemical machine, printing and forging machine, gearboxes and main drive & auxiliary drive of all kinds of tools which require quick and accurate stopping.
The difference between a brake motor and a normal motor:
structural Design
Braked Motor: A braked motor is an electric motor that includes an additional braking system, such as an electromagnetic brake. A common type is the electromagnetic failure-to-release braked motor, where the electromagnetic braking device is located at the rear of the motor.
Standard Motor: A standard motor has a simpler structure, mainly consisting of basic components such as the stator, rotor, housing, and bearings. It does not have a built-in braking system.
Working Principle
Braked Motor: When the motor is powered on, the electromagnetic coil of the braking system is energized and engaged, which prevents the brake from activating, allowing the motor to rotate freely. When the power is turned off, the electromagnetic coil is de-energized, and the brake is applied by the spring mechanism, quickly stopping the motor.
Standard Motor: The motor works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When the stator windings are energized, a rotating magnetic field is created, which induces rotation in the rotor. Upon power off, the motor gradually decelerates and stops due to its own inertia and external resistance.
