Check Drive Components: Inspect the alignment of couplings and the smooth operation of gear transmissions to ensure reliable power transmission with no jamming.

Current Testing: Periodically check the operating current of the reducer to ensure it remains within the rated current range. Overload could lead to insulation degradation or coil damage.

2. Lubrication and Oil Change

Choose Appropriate Lubricant: Select the lubricant recommended by the manufacturer, suitable for use in farm feed reducers. Avoid mixing different brands or types of lubricants.

Regular Oil Changes: After the initial break-in period, change the oil in a new reducer. Subsequently, regularly check the oil quality and replace it when it contains impurities, or contaminants, or shows signs of decomposition or aging. For reducers in continuous operation, it is recommended to change the oil every 6-8 months. For reducers working less than 8 hours daily, oil change can be done every 10-12 months.

Check Oil Level: Ensure the oil level is appropriate-not too high or too low-to maintain optimal lubrication performance.
